No Veteran Will be Forgotten

The foundation is named in honor of the memory of CPL Patrick Gallagher, son of Ireland,  and a true American hero while serving with the Marines in the Vietnam war, he twice threw himself on hand grenades to save his fellow Marines. Because of his bravery, General Westmoreland awarded him with the  Navy Cross.

We are obligated to live every day to desire what the Veterans and those currently serving do for us to preserve our freedom and the price they have paid and are paying.

Dying for freedom is not the worst thing that can happen, it is being forgotten that is.

We must never forget  Patrick and his fellow heroes, they gave their tomorrows for our today.

The Homeless Veterans

Think of the Veterans living on the street, who don’t have a home to live in, nor proper food to eat. Many of them have mental health issues due to the traumas from combat. Our job is to identify them, feed them, and further help them by offering shelter and medical support.

Your donation will help ensure that these forgotten heroes, who have faithfully served our country, will live a safe and comfortable life.

The Widows of Our Veterans

Think of the widow of a Marine that served our country for 36 years by participating in WWII, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. She has Dementia and lives in a long-term residential care home. Caregivers make sure she eats nutritious food; they watch out for all her needs and keep her safe while also providing fun activities, exercise and companionship. Yet, her money is running low, the home care costs $4,000 to $5,000 per month, and when the money is gone, she will be forced to live in a state-sponsored nursing home, which is crowded without as much personal care and safety.

58% of the COVID-19 (or Coronavirus) deaths in Massachusetts were from people living in nursing homes. The percentage is so high simply because, in these homes, there are many people living in close quarters, interacting with the low-salary employees who, because they’re forced to work at more than one nursing home, are carrying illnesses from one house to another.

Please donate so that Gloria, along with the many widowed spouses, will be able to live safely, comfortably, and happy in their final years.

Legal Support for Those Veterans That Can’t Afford It

Think of the Veteran being evicted, facing legal problems and desperately needs the help of professional attorneys. They need legal assistance to protect their rights, but cannot afford to pay for it. With the Veterans Legal Institute’s support, legal services are provided at no cost for needy Veterans. When our partner is not able to help, we will seek assistance where we are able to provide.
